Advanced Eyelash Extensions

Trisha is one of the original students of Daniel Dinh, founder of Lôngmi Lahes. Lôngmi Lashes is the first & only US Patented Method for Multi-Layer Eyelash Extensions. They have 11 U.S. Patents for Lash Extensions which they have authorized only their students to use.

Lôngmi’s multiple layer technique is different from the single layer techniques:

Unlike single layer techniques, the multiple layer technique will separate each of your individual eye lashes and apply multiple individual extensions. This allows me to completely customize the look of your eyelash extensions, making them fuller with more volume than you thought possible.

There is less chance of damage to your real lashes. Why? Because I work on your natural lashes individually, they won’t stick together when the process is complete. This allows them to grow freely and live their complete natural life-cycle as if extensions were never applied.

With this technique I am able to attach each extension very close to the base of the lash without touching your skin — thus, the glue is less likely to irritate or block your pores and prevent lash growth. They’ll just keep growing free and healthy.

I use extremely light weight individual extensions with different lengths, thicknesses and curves to create your custom look without putting too much stress on any individual natural lash.

If it’s your first time getting eyelash extensions, you should be excited! Excited at the thought of being able to wake up with your eyes looking amazing! No more mascara. And expect compliments galore.

There are a practically an infinite number of eyelash extensions types that you can get. I carry the most common styles so we’ll spend some time to figure out what type of look you want.

Once we’ve agreed on your style, you’ll lay down on my table and get comfortable. I’ll prep your eyes for the process which can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the style. You have to keep your eyes closed during most of this time so many people bring in headphones and some often just doze away. If you don’t have headphones, that’s fine. I’ll have some light music playing in the room as well.

During the process, I’ll be applying attaching eyelash extensions to your natural eyelashes using a very strong glue that cures very quickly. The glue may cause your eyes to run a little but it often goes away within an hour after you’re done. As you can imagine, the process is very tedious. But not to worry, I’ve done this for years!

Once we’re done, you’ll take a look in the mirror and you’ll just say wow.

Over the next 24 to 48 hours, you’ll need to take really good care of your new lashes if you want them to last.

There will be some getting used to them but if you stick with it, you’ll love the ease of just waking up and going out knowing that you have your best look.

Avoid wearing makeup when you come in. You’ll probably need to wash off your makeup in the evening and it’s really important that you keep your lash extensions dry for at least the first 12 hours so the lash extensions can bond strongly.

Make sure you’re not wearing any eye makeup and that your eyes are perfectly clean. Unclean lids and lashes will prevent the extensions from bonding well, and they may not last as long.

The following tips are for preserving your new lash extensions for a long as possible. As with anything, it has to fit within your lifestyle. If you can’t follow every tip, don’t worry, you’ll probably just have to come in more often for refills.

Keep your new lashes as dry as possible for 24-36 hours. Technically, the glue will set pretty well after 12 hours and you can get the lashes wet. However, if you can wait longer, the glue will set stronger and your lashes will last longer.

If you have to get them wet before 24 hours, it is imperative that you avoid steamy environments such as hot showers, spas, saunas, or even being outside for an extended period of time on humid days.

Avoid touching your lashes for the first few hours. The more you touch them, the more strain on the lash root.

Do not pick at your lashes or rub your eyes. This can damage your natural lashes.

Clean them properly, at least a few times a week with a foaming lash cleanser. We sell our own lash shampoo, called Lash2o, that I formulated with a premier formulator because the products available on the market contains ingredients that are known to cause irritation for my most sensitive clients. Do not use cleansing oils or makeup wipes and cotton pads. Pat dry always.

Do not use waterproof or oil-based mascara or eyeliner (felt tip/pen-style liquid is usually fine)

Always use oil-free products on your face, particularly eye makeup removers and cleansers.

Do not curl or tint your lash extensions. This may lead to damage and/or detachment from your natural eyelash

Do not use strip lashes. You may lose your natural eyelash when trying to remove them.

Do not sleep on your stomach since you are likely to rub your eyelash on the pillow. Doing so will risk pulling out your lash extensions.

Immediately after the lash application, some individuals with sensitivities can experience minor redness and dry eye. In most cases, this disappears within an hour or so and there’s no need to worry.

Lash growth cycles vary from person to person. You’ll likely start to notice when you lose your lashes since they’re much larger than your natural lashes. Don’t be alarmed! It’s normal to lose 1-5 lashes every day. Sometimes it may be 1 and sometimes it could be 5. As you lose a lash naturally, a new baby lash will take its place. Just like seasons, sometimes you’ll have a short growth cycle where you lose lashes faster and need to come in for a refill after 2 weeks…and sometimes you’ll have a longer cycle where you may need to come in for a refill after 4 weeks.

Keep in mind that a refill only applies if you have at least 1/3 of your eyelash extensions remaining. For less, I’ll have to do a full-set.

If you experience intense itching and or red/swollen eyelids in the first few days after the application. This could be an allergic reaction. Unfortunately, these are largely unavoidable since the glue contains a chemical that is known to cause an allergic reaction – but luckily this is rare. For temporary relief, take an antihistamine and then come see me. I’ll remove the extensions and the glue at my earliest availability. You’ll be a priority – don’t worry! I can use another type of adhesive that won’t cause an allergic reaction – if you wish to continue with eyelash extensions – but this type of glue has less strength and you’ll really need to follow the tips provided above if you want them to last.

Excessive shedding of extensions from the natural lashes in the first few days. This is uncommon – but please contact me if you feel that they are shedding rapidly within the first 3 days of application so I can troubleshoot and/or assess your lashes.

If (after wearing extensions for a while) you find your eyes sometimes feel gritty and sandy – this can mean that you really need clean your lashes more frequently and properly.

If you are new to lash extensions and you simply changed your mind and want them removed, don’t do it yourself. You could risk damaging your natural lashes. Contact me and I’ll remove them at my earliest availability.

If you maintain your lashes properly, anywhere from 2-4 weeks. Timing depends on factors such as:

~Generally, the more lashes that are applied, the longer they last (more to lose)

~How you take care of them

~Your lash cycle and how fast you are shedding/growing lashes

~Your skin type (oilier complexions usually shed lashes faster)

I will refill up to around 4 weeks, as long as at least 1/3 of the lashes have been retained well.
